Refraction

Visual artist Barna Fazakas, born in Miercurea Ciuc in 1999, is a graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts at the West University of Timișoara, where he majored in graphic design. Throughout his artistic career, he has worked as a graphic designer in Szeged and Leuven, and he currently lives in Sâncrăieni, where he works as a freelance graphic designer, advertising graphic designer, and teacher.

🏆 Last year, in the fine arts competition dedicated to the theme “Eastern Europe”,  Barna Fazakas was awarded with the Kőrösi Csoma Sándor Prize. The public in Covasna had the opportunity to discover his work *Summit*, a digital collage-engraving, presented as part of the Csoma exhibition.

🖌️ His art stands out for its original technique, in which painting and drawing converge to create compositions with a futuristic atmosphere and powerful expressiveness. Electronics, technology, the search for roots, and the relationship between tradition and modernity are recurring themes in his artistic universe.
