About
⛪ The monument, restored with professionalism, both inside and out, preserves murals of great artistic value, depicting scenes from the Legend of Saint Ladislaus cycle, painted at the beginning of the 15th century. ✝
The building was built in several stages, with several successive extensions. The oldest part of the nave is the western part, which dates from the late 13th - early 14th centuries.
Art historians who have studied these frescoes in detail have ranked them among the most famous murals in Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, Austria and Slovenia. Entering the church, one immediately notice the impressive fresco on the northern wall, which depicts scenes from the Legend of Saint Ladislaus, the Kinghtking.
❗️ To visit the church, prior appointment is needed (preferably 1 day ahead of the visit). Visiting hours: Monday - Sunday: 10.00 - 18.00 ❗️
