You should know that the church was first mentioned in 1332, and that it took its present form in 1547. Its garden contains the graves of many prominent figures associated with Sfântu Gheorghe, and the obelisks of József Váradi and Ferenc Bartalis, martyrs of the Hungarian Revolution of 1848, were also set up here. Despite the fact that the building has been damaged several times by earthquakes over the years, it has always been restored in a way that has not damaged its stylistic features. The church has been restored and is now open to visitors.
For a full church visit, please make an appointment by telephone on weekdays between 9:00 – 13:00.
You have to discover the porcelain dolls' kingdom, the pieces of which have been carefully selected. With around 1,200 pieces, you will find dolls from all over the world: life-size dolls, many made of fine porcelain, but also French limited edition dolls and a very old doll "born" in 1885.
