🔹 Mrs. Ella Gazda Olosz Memorial Exhibition 🧵

A unique symbiosis of materials, colors, styles and cultures comes to life in the tapestries of textile artist Mrs. Ella Gazda Olosz. The Ars poetica of the late artist was: "I want to evoke the wonder of simplicity in people!"

🔹 Csángó Ethnographical Museum ❤️

The Csángós are a special ethnic group, with their own culture, dialect, traditions, and religious beliefs. In the museum you can learn interesting information about the folk textiles that decorate the interiors of houses, furniture, musical instruments, traditional festive and everyday clothes of the Csángós, as well as what the bride's (nyirásza) dowry (zesztré) consisted of.

🔹 Tour of the Mikes Estate and lunch 🏰

The estate, run by the noble Mikes family, is like a Monet painting, with a cavalcade of colours that amaze and transport visitors back to the 1920’s. Some claim to have seen Hercule Poirot sneaking out of the dining room. During the guided tour of the estate, you will learn the history of the place and the Mikes family.

🔹 Saint Emeric Roman Catholic Church

Ghelința has a charming Roman Catholic church. The church has the best preserved frescoes in Transylvania, depicting the legend of St. James and the legend of the knight king St. Ladislaus. It is not only the frescoes that "relate" to the visitors, but also the plague cross, the belfry and bells, as well as the ceiling with 103 painted boxes carrie a lot of information. A visit to this historic monument is a must for those who appreciate art, antiquities and history.
