📍 A House with a Story The Valea Zălanului Village Museum was brought to life by local historian and ethnographer Barna Préda. Built in 1896 by his great-great-grandparents, the house has been carefully restored using traditional materials and techniques, preserving the authentic charm of Szekler architecture.
🖼️ Fascinating Collections The museum tells the story of the village from its early days to the mid-20th century. Some of its most valuable exhibits include: ✨ Handcrafted Glass Collection – a precious legacy from collector Zoltán Karácsony. ✨ Traditional Tools & Artifacts – everyday objects once used by the villagers of Valea Zălanului. ✨ Historic Documents – dowry letters, old contracts, and photographs, including 19th-century agreements signed by Count Kálnoky. ✨ Military History – wartime photographs, uniforms, decorations, and memorabilia. 🧶 An Interactive Experience Visitors can admire authentic textiles from Valea Zălanului and even try their hand at weaving on a fully functional loom!
