The horse stud existed since the late 17th century since Mihály MIKES. As a curiosity the Empress Elisabeth of Russia brought 28 Transylvanian horses in 1758 in order to create a stud in St. Petersburg. During WW I. in 1917 the horses were moved for protection towards today's Austrian border. Count Ármin MIKES had his horses racing in Vienna in 1918 with the family colours yellow and red. In 2018 English thoroughbred and Szekler mares where bought and are being crossbred with Arabs to re-establish the former renowned breed. • Horseback lessons in paddock  • Guided cross-country riding  • Kid's ride  • Multi occasion ticket  Cross Country Riding Tours 1.   To Aratás plateau and back Itinerary: Estate - Aratás plateau– Gelence (village) – Estate Length: 4-5h Maximum no. of participants: 4 persons, weight limit 85 Kg Difficulty: advanced (good handle of horse) Meal plan: picnic basket Optionals: cultural visit at the 13th century Saint Emeric church at Gelence Recommended equipment: raincoat, long trousers, boots. 🏡 The tourist complex built around the Fűzi Fishing Lake offers perfect relaxation for all members of the family. Anglers can indulge in their hobby in the lake with an area of approximately one and a half hectares, those who like splashing around can find a pool and a hot tub, that can be followed by taking a sauna. If the children's attention is not captured by fishing, they can hit the playground! 🎣 The lake has been welcoming its guests since 2013, since then many innovations have been made for the comfort of the guests.  The deepest point of the lake is 4.5 meters. In its water there is a large number of fish such as crucian, carp, aspio, and pike. The repopulation of the lake takes place at appropriate intervals, so the fish stock is always large in it.  The word "wellness" has become an everyday word, but it actually means "well-being". At the Fűzi Fishing Lake, you have everything you need to experience this feeling. The swimming pool, the wooden hot tub, and the sauna create the conditions for a real relaxation... the fishing lake is just an addition to all this; the beautiful, quiet surroundings are just as much a bonus. You can also book accommodation in the tourist complex, so everything you need for a great family vacation you will find at the Fűzi Fishing Lake and Guesthouse! 🌞
