About
Variety involves a multitude of elements as an aspect of cultural diversity, some of which we want to bring before you on March 28, marked by a double event at Zabola Estate, Zăbala, Transylvania. 🌷
Thus, between 11:00 and 16:00, you have the opportunity to visit an exhibition of painted eggs from several regions of the country, 🥚 with an interactive workshop for children and adults, and from 17:00 to attend the closing concert of the Borodin & Efremov International Tour "Le Grand Concert". 🎼
Cello player Constantin Borodin returns to Zabola Estate on March 28 from 17:00, this time with accordionist Pavel Efremov. 🎻
The “Le Grand Concert” program proposes a sound journey that starts from the world of the late Baroque (Johann Sebastian Bach) and reaches the music of the 21st century, in an intense dialogue between meditation, spirituality and dance.
If Bach offers a clear and luminous musical architecture, Sofia Gubaidulina and Arvo Pärt open an inner horizon where silence, breathing and tension become expressive materials. Their music explores the verticality of time — a suspended, essentialized time, in which every gesture has symbolic weight.
In the second part of the program, the pulse accelerates, and the dramaturgy transfers to rhythm and body. From the virtuoso sarcasm of Mikołaj Majkusiak, to the passionate “nuevo tango” of Astor Piazzolla and to the urban humor and improvised energy of Tomás Gubitsch, fire becomes the engine of the final direction.
In this sequence, the concert draws a coherent line between silence and fire, between contemplative and dancing, between interior and spectacle — an arc that connects the spiritual East with Latin America and contemporary Europe.
As for the exhibition and the egg-painting workshop, young and old visitors are expected by craftsmen, who will give demonstrations and present various techniques, specific to each area, in an interactive egg-painting workshop, out of the desire to offer memorable experiences by sharing the custom, inclusion and cultural diversity. 🥚🖌
The Easter egg painting technique is an ancient concern, through which both women and men transpose models and motifs most representative of the regions they come from. "The egg – the beginning miracle of the world, it preserves all the solar heat; the egg was, is and remains the promise" Constantin Brâncuşi said about the egg that it is "the mother of forms, of all forms" and gives it to eternity.
The participants in the painted egg exhibition come from representative regions, included in the National Inventory of Living Elements of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Romania, such as: Iulia Niculiță and Alexandru Chisăliță - Ciocănești Ethnographic Museum in Bucovina, Haszmann Orsolya - Haszmann Pal Ethnographic Museum – Cernat, Covasna, Flavius Boiț aka Bihoreanul in Opinci - Bihor, Salamon Piroska, Váta Réka - Harghita, Antal Teréz, Molnar Erika – Valea Ghimeșului.
During the event you will have the opportunity to purchase some of the wonderful creations to accessorize your Easter environment.
The highlight of the day will be the cello and accordion recital, performed by Constantin Borodin and Pavel Efremov. 🎶
