We have collected   in alphabetical order the equestrian centres from Covasna County and we recommend visiting and trying out all of them!

Riding Centre Barabás awaits its guests in Arcuș, 3 km from Sfântu Gheorghe; age, experience, or season does not matter. The horse-riding centre teaches to love and respect horses and riding, and thanks to them it is possible to explore Covasna County`s miracles on horseback. 

Count Kálnoky`s Equestrian Centre is located in Valea Crișului, 7 km from Sfântu Gheorghe, close to Kálnoky Castle. The Kálnoky family, ever since returning from exile and for more than a decade has been trying to revive the equestrian culture that has been of great importance in the life of the family for centuries. The horse-riding centre organizes riding tours besides offering pony riding lessons, horse riding lessons for adults and riding programs for children. The three and six-day tours go around the most beautiful and hidden villages from the Baraolt Depression (Valea Zălanului, Bățanii Mici, Filia, Micloșoara). It will be a real time travel experience for nature lovers and riders who enjoy travelling through mountains and valleys. We also welcome everyone in our horse-riding camps!  

Count Mikes Stud Farm welcomes those who want to sharpen their minds and strengthen their bodies with this noble sport. The stud farm was founded by Mihály Mikes in the 17th century. In 2018, English Thoroughbreds and Szekler horses were repopulated. These horses are crossed with Arabian Thoroughbreds for breeding. Count Mikes Stud Farm and riding track set as its goal to restore the stud farm’s former reputation. Its services include horse-riding lessons for adults and children, and terrain riding on the property.

Lipicai Sport Club at Bartha Lovastanya Farm is located in the neighbourhood of Lunca Ozunului and Chichiș, on the 40-hectare farm of Róbert Bartha. The farm’s horse-riding tours are popular with both beginners and advanced riders. Riders are welcome from May to November. The 3-5-day routes are star-tours with accommodation, breakfast and dinner at the farm. At the same time, the club has a boarding house for 16 people to organize various equestrian conferences, family celebrations and events. The design of the boarding house is also special in that it is built on the roof of the arena, its rooms overlooking the equestrian track from where guests can follow various equestrian events.

Guests visiting Sacramento Riding Club can learn how to take care of horses, how to connect with them and ride them. They can experience riding, but at the same time they can also learn the basics of riding, how to sit correctly in order to have a safe body posture, and also how to control horses at different paces. Beginners and advanced riders are both welcome.

At Szeklerland`s Equestrian Centre in Sfântu Gheorghe guests can try riding in horse corral on the training track. At the same time, experienced riders can try riding on the nearby terrain as well. Another exciting service of the horse-riding centre is carriage and sleigh riding.

Zonda equestrian centre is located 15 km from Târgu Secuiesc, in Valea Scurtă and it is an ideal place for horse riding – and not only for professional riders. Beside the riding programs there is also a pension where guests can participate in family or team building activities.
