About
The village of Bățanii Mici is known for its close connection with Benedek Elek, an important Hungarian writer and educator. His former home, now a memorial house, was built in 1896 in the classicist style. Two of the building's eight rooms house the exhibition dedicated to him and are open to visitors. Here you can discover very old story books, collections related to children's magazines such as Cimbora, My Newspaper (Az Én Újságom) and My Good Friend (a Jó Pajtás), as well as the office where the author's famous fairy-tale characters were born.
