We visited the Oprea ski slope located at Valea Mare

If you choose to visit Covasna County in winter, you will certainly not get bored. Beside the slopes of Șugaș Băi, Covasna and Întorsura Buzăului, the Oprea ski slope of Valea Mare is a superb alternative with great conditions as well, for those who are in love with winter sports.

The slope was built in 2016 and is the second longest one in Covasna County, with a length of 700 meters. It is ideal for beginners and advanced as well, with a medium level of difficulty. You can slide comfortably on the well mantained slope and in the meantime enjoy the scenic surroundings.

Oprea Ioan, the owner of the ski slope, says their goal is to provide the right amount of snow-cover for tourists: “We are constantly working to provide the slope with excellent conditions, the snow-cannons are operating almost uninterruptedly so to greet tourists with the ideal conditions. There is a ski rental beside the slope and at the bottom a small pub, where you can relax or even warm up with a hot drink.”
