The Heritage of Dénes Csiszár

 An elegantly restored bathhouse that carries on the tradition is located in the forest opposite the castle of Bálványos. The Csiszár Baths, one of the most popular tourist destinations in Târgu Secuiesc and its surroundings, is an attempt to revive both history and folk medicine.

The renovation of the bath, which was deprivatised in 1948, was carried out to a large extent jointly and, for the time being, only affected the cold baths. It is attributed to the Taierling brothers, Johann and Péter-Ferenc cherishing the memory of their grandfather, Dénes Csiszár, and their great-grandmother, Róza Török. They were both brought up in Germany, and Johann moved back to Târgu Secuiesc in 2005. And the mineral springs of the former bath are still effective in alleviating the complaints of people suffering from various musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, and digestive diseases.
