Program description: a two-day mountain bike tour in the Natura 2000 Bodoc – Baraolt special bird protection area, on the tourist track along the mountain ridge, on the blue lane and yellow lane tracks. Medieval fortresses can be found hidden between the mountains and ruin areas (Vápa Fortress, Gém Fortress, Herec Fortress, Kincsás Fortress, etc.) The two mountains lie on the left and right sides of the Olt Valley in Covasna County.
Route:
Day 1: Ariușd – Őrhegy (632 m) – Barabás (663 m) – Nagy-Busnya (707 m) – Keresztény-tető (715 m) – near the Vâlcele pass – Mészégető-tető (809 m) – Görgő (1017 m) – Havad-tető (1019 m) – Vadas-hágó (951 m) – Tekse-fej (946 m) – Öreg-vágás-tető (907 m) – Harcsa-tető (806 m) – Hatod-hágó (710 m) – Bixad. The first day's tour ends here. Bixad will be the end point of the first day`s tour and the accommodation will also be here.
Day 2: Bixad – Bálványos-hágó (940 m) – Hosszúsarok (1224 m) – Kőmöge (1240 m) – Borda-tető (1198 m) – Szárhegy-mező (1213 m) – Bojtorjános (1217 m) – Bodoki-havas csúcs (1194 m) – Bükkös-tető (844 m) – Buja-hát (736 m) – Angheluș – Sfântu Gheorghe.
Difficulty level: it is recommended only to experienced tourists in good cycling condition.
Difference in level: Day 1 - elevation 1598 m, slope 1439 m; Day 2 - elevation 1892 m, slope 2039 m.
Maximum slope: + 30.7%, - 48%.
Distance: a total of 126 km.
Duration: Day 1 - 13 hours, Day 2 - 12 hours (all day programs).
Required equipment: small hiking backpack, food for all day, drinking water, cycling clothing.
The price includes: luggage / assistance car, tour organization, tourist guidance in Hungarian, Romanian and English, tour booklet, and photography.
Note: the route and length of the tour can be changed upon request. The price does not include: accommodation, meals and transport.
