About
🐮 The Bodor Family Farm, located at an altitude of 700 meters in a stunning mountain landscape, is home to the Uzonka Handmade Cheese workshop. The farm operates according to regenerative agriculture principles, protecting the mountain meadows and the natural values of the area. It produces milk exclusively from carefully selected cows with A2/A2 genetics, grazing on pastures rich in herbs and medicinal plants.
🧀 The cheeses are crafted following Swiss and Alpine traditions. Only milk produced on the farm itself is processed, in a facility that complies with European Union standards. The aged cheeses are matured in a stone cellar that is over 90 years old, where the natural microclimate contributes to the development of their distinctive flavor. Their selection includes aged cheeses, feta-style cheese, whey cheese (urdă), yogurt, and other artisanal dairy products.
As an official Open Farm, they warmly welcome all visitors. During guided tours, guests can discover the animals, learn about the farm’s daily activities, and explore the cheese-making process. Children can take part in interactive programs and enjoy petting the animals. During interactive tasting sessions held in the Tiny House, visitors can relax and savor our cheeses along with other artisanal delicacies produced on the farm. Guests can also enjoy a coffee or a refreshing drink while admiring the beauty of the surrounding mountain scenery.
The farm can be visited almost anytime to purchase its own products.
Advance booking is required for participation in programs and tasting sessions.
