The Birch Forest in Reci – Legend’s road

Dear children, dear lovers of nature!

Let’s have some fun! Come and have a trip with me in the forest of giants and fairies. On this forest adventure you can get an insight into the fairytale world of Covasna County. The forest trail is 5 km long, with 20 metres elevation gain, and takes maximum an hour and a half to complete. The route is easily accessible on foot or by bike, for adults and children alike. 

See the animated legend of the Birch Forest in Reci, which can be viewed using the QR codes at the 5 stations along the trail. Ask your parents or adult companion to scan the QR code on the sign boards of the stations with their phones, then select the link to the English-language cartoon excerpt and watch a fragment from the legend. By the time you return from your fabulous tour you will know the full story. Horseshoe-shaped signs painted on trees and waymarker posts will help you stay on the right path. So follow the horseshoe!

PS: Since there is no water spring on the route, it is advisable to take at least half a litre of water with you. The route is in a natural reserve: don’t litter, bring back your garbage to the bins in the car park! Respect nature: don’t disturb wildlife, protect vegetation! Please do not damage the signs, do not paint them! I'm sure other children will want to watch the cartoon after you. Thank you.
