More than 60 accommodations from Covasna County received the “COVID Safe Place” certificate

The Covasna County Tourism Association has taken the first step towards relaunching and normalizing tourism and announces today the "Visit Covasna Safe Place" program, which grants hoteliers in Covasna County the "COVID Safe Place" certification. So far, over 60 properties in Covasna County, which can be found on the website www.visitcovasna.com, have complied with the measures recommended by the association and have received this certification.

The situation caused by the pandemic affected tourism the most among the industries, and the service providers in Covasna County were not exempted from the negative effects of the restrictions in the last 3 months. Emergency restraint measures have had a negative impact on both smaller accommodation units in rural areas and large, urban hotels with a wide range of services.

Starting with May, the preparations for an ample campaign for the safe resumption of tourism in Covasna County have started. Within the program, representatives of “Visit Covasna” visited all units that plan to continue their tourism activities and those that have implemented various protection and security measures against the spread of the epidemic were certified and marked with the “Visit Covasna Safe Place” logo. These measures are similar to those proposed by the government, however, the acquisition of the “Visit Covasna Safe Place” accommodation status does not exempt the respective service providers from applying the regulations required by law.
The additional measures that the accommodation units in Covasna County are advised to implement contribute to the development of tourist holidays in optimal conditions of safety and comfort, but also to maintaining the health of the employed staff.

What implies a “Visit Covasna Safe Place” certificate?
