Hotels in Covasna did not escape the impacts of the restrictions imposed by the coronavirus epidemic, losing their guests from one day to another. During the Visit Covasna Safe Place campaign, we asked Oana Maria Șulea, the marketing manager of the TTS Hotel from Covasna about their recent experience.
Could you say some words about the hotel?
The TTS Hotel was opened in December 2015. It is a relatively new hotel, a new building, one that is a great help to us in the current crisis. The insulation of the hotel was designed in such a way that we do not have air conditioning in the rooms, which is a big advantage for us during this period. The hotel has 57 accommodation spaces, single and double rooms, as well as apartments, with a total of 110 beds. Of course, we also provide medical treatments, we provide all the balneological treatments that Covasna offers. The spa area has a swimming pool, sauna and salt mine. For very demanding guests we recommend the Vichy shower.
Was it difficult to adapt to the regulations introduced because of the coronavirus? What have you been able to do in this period?
It affected us all this situation, in every way, but we took advantage of this period, we worked daily in different departments of the hotel, renovated everything we needed, painted, disinfected and developed.
Are you preparing for the opening?
We are not afraid that tourists will not come, but we must receive them as prescribed. Measures have been introduced and will continue to be. We are training the staff, they will wear plexiglass protective masks, we are also preparing the restaurant, reorganizing things and we are waiting for the instructions of the authorities on what additional measures are required.
What do you think about the future?
The future is certainly positive, we are not afraid, we have managed to build a very good client base in the last four years. Our guests have been calling throughout this period to see when we open. We hope we can meet all the measures because it is more than sure that there will be more. Now there is still this fear that one will go somewhere. However, the TTS Hotel is relatively small, here we are with our guests like a family.
